Cannabics Pharmaceuticals Inc. (OTCQB: CNBX), a leader in personalized cannabinoid medicine focused on cancer and its side effects, announced today that it is offering its High Throughput Screening (HTS) facility, in order to assist with the Israeli national effort in researching and containing SARS-CoV-2.
The company is currently evaluating its abilities in High Throughput Screening for identifying potential inhibitors of the Corona virus. The company estimates that it could potentially contribute from its capabilities and knowledge in order to support the ongoing national effort on two levels: establish and operate a diagnostic platform and screen libraries of compounds in High Throughput Screening (HTS) such as cannabinoids, combinations of FDA antiviral approved drugs, and natural products.
Due to the circumstances, the company is willing to establish these operations, while taking into consideration necessary regulations, safety issues, availability of reagents, and availability of samples – HCoV OC43 (virus model).
